PROJECT: PILL BOTTLE

This project called for a series of systems to eject an effervescent tablet into a drink. The designs produced by Dynamic Design and Michael Woods have been patented worldwide. They represent a world first for this type of functional drink. We designed and prototyped the product in multiple configurations. Designs range from high profile plunger mechanisms through to low profile soft cap mechanisms.

All assemblies are designed for ultra-high volume injection moulding manufacture using multiple-cavity, rotating tool technology. Design and prototyping were carried out in New Zealand. Low-run production tooling and moulding was carried out for tablets and caps in New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany and China. Market testing was carried out in four countries with Coca-Cola. Results were positive.
