PROJECT: TEST MACHINE
The following pages have a range of test machines that we have designed and manufactured for Dynamic Controls. In this first case we needed to test a joystick device. Testing included PCB checking of circuitry reliability, 'pot' operation assessment, and dynamic testing of the main shaft in three axes, all in one machine. In a production set up where time to assemble is crucial, the joysticks needed to be tested as rapidly as possible.
Further machines of different configurations were designed for testing a range of printed circuit boards. Some of the machines have multiple-board or multiple-part testing regimes. Repeatable accuracy required on these devices was plus/minus 0.15mm so machining had to be carefully controlled.
