PROJECT: COMMANDO 2 RETOOL
In this project for Dynamic we imported an existing Pro-Engineer CAD Model and reconstructed it in SolidWorks. The main exterior shape was retained.
The interior was completely remodeled, aluminum redistributed for heat transfer and wall sections thinned down where possible to reduce part cost. Draft increased to improve mould release. Upper and lower casing tools were commissioned. Parts when mated have virtually zero movement between casings and exhibit the fine tolerancing possible with today's CAD systems.
